At a moment when artificial intelligence is moving rapidly from labs into everyday life, a new initiative is aiming to test how AI performs at real-world scale.
Bharat1.AI announced an ambitious “AI city” project at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi. The project includes a 500,000 sq ft campus in Bengaluru, designed to test, validate, and improve AI technologies in real-life environments.
The campus will host large-scale simulations to evaluate how AI agents and systems respond to real-world scenarios. The aim is to ensure that future AI technologies are safe, reliable, and ready for deployment at scale. The facility, named the B1 AI Superpark, is positioned as a testing ground for city-level AI validation.
Speaking about the initiative, Bharat1.AI CEO Umakant Soni described the project as “the first step toward creating a city-scale validation framework.” He also cautioned about the importance of testing AI systems in real-world conditions, stating, “We are at an inflection point in the AI revolution.”
The announcement was made during the India AI Impact Summit, which highlighted progress under the IndiaAI Mission. As part of the mission, 12 indigenous foundation models are currently being developed.
The summit itself is a 5-day event running from Feb 16 to Feb 20. It features more than 500 sessions from participants across the world. Over the years, the event has grown into a key platform for discussions on how artificial intelligence will influence daily life, industries, and the future of the planet.
With the proposed AI city project, Bharat1.AI is aiming to push large-scale AI testing beyond theory and into practical, real-world validation.
