Strengthening its focus on cybersecurity and digital resilience, Zuno General Insurance, earlier known as Edelweiss General Insurance, has brought Mr. Jana on board at a time when robust information security has become critical for the insurance sector. He brings over 20 years of experience across multiple areas of security consulting and enterprise technology.
His professional expertise spans information systems and security audits, security management, IS architecture, data centre operations, IT service management, IT governance, and regulatory compliance. He has led security risk assessments, risk management initiatives, business impact analysis, and the design and implementation of Information Systems Security Management (ISMS) frameworks.
Jana has been closely involved in corporate IT initiatives, contributing to planning, analysis, and deployment of information security solutions. He has also played a key role in setting up and managing data centre operations, while ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory guidelines. His background includes strong communication and team leadership skills, along with the ability to quickly adapt to new technical concepts.
Jana holds multiple certifications as an Information System Security and Audit professional from leading global bodies, including ISACA, ISC2, IRCA, CISCO, and QualysGuard. His work includes designing and managing enterprise security frameworks that effectively reduce organisational risk.
Jana has successfully overseen compliance audits such as ISO27001, COBIT, PCI DSS, and SOX for a wide range of clients. He has also gap-assessed and advised large corporations on IT capabilities, helping align technology roadmaps with business strategies. His consulting experience spans government, semi-government, and private sector organisations, and he has worked across implementation, advisory, and assurance roles.
Before joining Zuno General Insurance, Jana served as CISO and Head of Information Security at CareEdge Group. His earlier roles include Associate Director in Risk Consulting and Cybersecurity at PwC India, and Security, Risk, and Compliance positions at Tata Consultancy Services. He is a management graduate with an engineering background in Electronics and Telecommunication.
