India AI Impact Summit to start February 16 with top global voices

Set against the backdrop of rapid technological change, India is preparing to host a major global gathering focused on the future of artificial intelligence and its role in society.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 will be held from February 16–20, 2026, at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Cum-Convention Centre (IECC) in New Delhi. The venue is expected to host high-level discussions, in-depth presentations, and extensive networking, reflecting India’s ambition to emerge as a global leader in AI.

Vision and key themes

The summit will be guided by the central theme Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya, meaning ‘welfare for all, happiness for all.’ The agenda is built around several core pillars that aim to drive responsible and inclusive innovation.

Key focus areas include “AI in Healthcare and Biotech,” which will examine precision medicine and drug discovery, and “Sustainable AI and Green Computing,” addressing the environmental impact of AI systems. Another major pillar, “AI Ethics, Governance, and Trust,” will focus on the need for responsible and transparent AI deployment. Sessions will also cover “AI in Education,” “Smart Cities,” and “Defense and Security.”

Global and Indian leaders to attend

The summit has drawn a strong lineup of global and domestic leaders from the technology and business world. International speakers include Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, Google DeepMind CEO and Nobel Laureate Demis Hassabis, Meta’s Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang, Anthropic CEO and co-founder Dario Amodei, and Bill Gates.

From India, business leaders such as Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran, and Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal are expected to attend.

Investment outlook

Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has indicated that the summit could help unlock investment opportunities of up to $100 billion. The government is encouraging start-ups to build smaller, localized AI models and reduce reliance on US-based systems. Vaishnaw recently met Hassabis at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, where discussions focused on India’s expanding role in shaping AI for global good.
