A key leadership appointment has been made at JioHotstar as the platform strengthens its focus on product innovation and large-scale growth in India’s digital entertainment market. In his new role, he will lead product strategy, drive customer experience innovation, and support platform-led growth initiatives at scale for the streaming service.
Before joining JioHotstar, Shrinivas spent nearly 7 years at Flipkart, where he held several senior product leadership roles, including Director of Product. He led Search and Catalog product functions across Flipkart, Minutes, and Grocery. His work also covered GenAI-powered shopping experiences such as conversational commerce, chatbots, summarisation tools, and assisted shopping features.
Earlier in his career, Shrinivas built core product capabilities at Wynk Limited and at airtel. His work at airtel included Airtel TV Premium, mobile advertising platforms, data platforms, and mobile internet innovation. Across these roles, he delivered large-scale digital products used by millions of customers.
At JioHotstar, he is expected to use this experience to strengthen product execution and improve user engagement across the platform. The company aims to expand its digital entertainment footprint through better technology-driven experiences and scalable product systems.
The appointment reflects JioHotstar’s focus on senior leadership with deep experience in e-commerce, media, and telecom platforms. It also highlights the growing importance of product-led growth in India’s streaming and digital content sector.
