Yogesh Thakur takes on an expanded role as Head of the Branch at IDFC FIRST Bank

In his new position, Yogesh will oversee branch banking operations with a strong focus on business growth, compliance, and customer experience. Leveraging his expertise in branch management, business development, and handling HNI and HNW clients, he will work toward strengthening branch performance and driving sustainable growth.

Prior to this elevation, Yogesh served as Branch Manager at IDFC FIRST Bank. He earlier held the role of Branch Manager at IndusInd Bank in Chiplun, Maharashtra, where he was responsible for managing branch operations and expanding the local customer base.

His professional journey also includes key roles at HDFC Bank, where he worked as a Preferred and Imperia Relationship Manager, as well as a Portfolio Manager. These roles helped him build strong capabilities in relationship management and wealth-focused banking.

Yogesh brings additional operational leadership experience from Fincare Small Finance Bank and Fincare-AU Small Finance Bank, contributing to his well-rounded understanding of retail and small finance banking. In the early stages of his career, he also gained exposure at YES BANK and Rallis India Ltd., adding operational and corporate experience to his profile.

With a diverse background across private banking, small finance institutions, and relationship-led roles, Yogesh is well-positioned to lead branch operations and support the bank’s customer-centric growth strategy.
