Adobe welcomes Lucius DiPhillips as Chief Information Officer

Mr. DiPhillips will lead the company global Technology Services team as Adobe continues to expand the use of Ai across its business operations.

In his new role, DiPhillips will focus on strengthening Adobe technology foundations and supporting its wider digital transformation plans. His responsibilities will cover internal systems, infrastructure, security operations, and improvements to employee and customer experiences.

Adobe said the appointment comes at a time when the company is increasing its use of Ai in both products and internal processes. This shift is placing higher demands on core enterprise platforms and systems.

“Technology is at the heart of everything we do at Adobe,” said Daniel Durn, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Finance, Technology, Security and Operations at Adobe.

“Lucius brings deep expertise in driving digital transformation and a people first approach to leadership. His vision will be instrumental as we continue to scale and innovate in the era of Ai.”

DiPhillips brings more than 25 years of experience in leading large technology and transformation programmes across global organisations. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Officer at Airbnb. There, he led efforts to modernise core business platforms and introduced Ai based capabilities to improve productivity and cost efficiency.

During his time at Airbnb, he focused on strengthening core systems while supporting rapid business growth and changing customer needs.

Before that, DiPhillips held senior roles at eBay, PayPal, Bank of America, and GE. Across these organisations, he worked closely with product, finance, and business teams to deliver infrastructure savings, improve workforce efficiency, and upgrade platforms in highly regulated environments.

“Adobe commitment to Ai powered innovation and trust creates powerful opportunities to apply technology in meaningful, scalable ways,” DiPhillips said.

“I look forward to working closely with teams across the company to build upon our digital foundation and support Adobe next phase of growth.”

Adobe said DiPhillips is known for building inclusive teams and encouraging collaboration across large global organisations. His appointment takes effect immediately, as he joins the executive leadership team.
