Star Air to begin commercial flights from Navi Mumbai International Airport on December 25

A new chapter in regional air connectivity will begin this month as Star Air prepares to start flight operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport.

The regional airline announced that it will launch services from the upcoming greenfield airport, which is scheduled to handle its first passenger flight on December 25. With this move, Star Air will connect Navi Mumbai with key business and leisure destinations across western and southern India.

According to the announced schedule, the airline will operate direct flights between Navi Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Goa Mopa, and Bengaluru. In addition, Star Air will introduce a Navi Mumbai to Nanded service via Ahmedabad, as well as a Navi Mumbai to Bengaluru service via Goa Mopa.

The airline stated that these new routes are aimed at offering smooth and convenient travel options for passengers flying between Navi Mumbai and important economic and tourism centres. The launch is expected to strengthen regional connectivity and support growing travel demand from the Mumbai metropolitan region.

All flights on the newly announced routes will be operated using Embraer 175 aircraft. The use of this aircraft type aligns with Star Air’s regional focus and its strategy to serve short to medium haul routes efficiently.

The start of Star Air’s services also marks one of the first commercial airline operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport, highlighting the airport’s role in easing air traffic congestion and expanding aviation infrastructure in the region.

With flights beginning on December 25, passengers will soon have additional travel choices from Navi Mumbai, improving access to multiple cities through both direct and connecting services.
