Xiaomi is moving closer to a global release for its next-generation flagship smartphone. After debuting in China earlier this year, the standard Xiaomi 17 has now appeared on Thailand’s NBTC certification database, hinting at preparations for international availability. While the company has not confirmed the exact launch date, the listing adds to a series of regulatory sightings suggesting Xiaomi is steadily working toward a full global rollout. Earlier reports had indicated that the India launch would follow soon after the global debut.
The NBTC listing confirms the Xiaomi 17 name and links it to the model number 25113PN0EG. This entry follows an earlier appearance of the same model number on Singapore’s IMDA database. Although the certification does not provide a launch timeline, it confirms that the handset will be available in Thailand, signalling Xiaomi’s plans to expand sales beyond China.
The Xiaomi 17 has also surfaced on Geekbench, revealing key specifications. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and will run Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box. Leaks suggest a potential global launch in January 2026, with the India debut expected shortly after. Xiaomi had previously teased the India launch during the Snapdragon Summit 2025 but did not provide a timeline.
In China, the Xiaomi 17 launched in September alongside the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which feature secondary screens at the back. The standard model comes with a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging and a Leica-tuned triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel front shooter. The base variant in China starts at CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 56,000).
