Larsen and Toubro announced on Wednesday that it has rebranded its data centre division as Larsen and Toubro Vyoma. The new name is inspired by the Sanskrit word for sky. The business, which was launched in 2024, previously operated as L and T Cloudfiniti. With this rebranding, the company aims to expand its engineering and manufacturing strengths into the digital economy through a modern and scalable data infrastructure approach focused on security, sustainability and Responsible AI.
The company said in a statement that by integrating advanced AI systems, cloud native architectures and low carbon operations, Larsen and Toubro Vyoma will offer a trusted platform for resilient digital foundations. It said the goal is to support both businesses and communities as they adapt to a more connected world.
L and T Chairman and Managing Director S N Subrahmanyan said, “As India’s data centre market is projected to grow exponentially over the next few years, Larsen and Toubro Vyoma embodies our vision to build a trusted ecosystem that supports the nation’s digital ambition. By integrating sovereign capabilities, AI readiness and sustainable operations, we aim to enable bold innovation and secure growth.”
The Chief Executive of Larsen and Toubro Vyoma, Seema Ambastha, said that the new identity reflects a broader and more ambitious vision. She said, “As L and T Cloudfiniti transitions into its new avatar Larsen and Toubro Vyoma, we embrace a name that mirrors our limitless vision from the infinite power of cloud to the cosmic intelligence of vyoma. This rebranding represents our journey towards a more connected, intelligent and sovereign digital future.”
