In a major boost to space-tech innovation, Spanish startup Xoople has raised $130 million to develop a satellite network focused on delivering highly accurate data for training AI models.
The funding round was led by Nazca Capital, with participation from MCH Private Equity and other investors. Founded in 2019, Xoople aims to provide significantly sharper Earth observation data compared to existing solutions.
The company is collaborating with L3Harris Technologies to develop advanced sensors capable of delivering data that is 100x more precise than current systems.
Xoople has already raised a total of $225 million so far. It is also building its distribution strategy by integrating with platforms such as Microsoft and Esri, positioning itself against competitors like Vantor and Planet.
CEO Fabrizio Pirondini said, “We’re already in unicorn territory.”
The funding will support the company’s efforts to scale its satellite network and strengthen its capabilities in delivering high-quality data for AI-driven applications.
