Wipro Introduces Advanced AI Ultrasound Technology in India

Bengaluru: Wipro GE Healthcare has introduced the Versana Premier R3, a cutting-edge AI-powered ultrasound system aimed at improving clinical efficiency and accuracy, optimizing workflows, and enhancing patient outcomes.

This state-of-the-art ultrasound system is an upgraded model from the Versana series and incorporates AI-driven productivity tools to refine workflow and clinical capabilities, as stated by the company.

Chaitanya Sarawate, Managing Director, Wipro GE Healthcare South Asia said, “Al is central to building a future where healthcare is personalized, preventive, and affordable. The launch of our Versana Premier R3, is yet another testament to our commitment towards the delivery of ‘Made in India MedTech – for India and the world.”

“With the growing NCD burden in the country, there is a pressing need for advanced patient centric technologies that can provide faster, personalized, and more accurate diagnosis. Powered by AI, Versana Premier R3 empowering clinicians to make timely and well-informed decisions,” Anup Kumar, Business Head, Ultrasound, Wipro GE Healthcare added. 

The company also announced that the AI-enabled ultrasound system will be produced at its PLI factory in Bengaluru. Wipro plans to invest over ₹8000 crore in manufacturing and local R&D over the next five years.
