Vedanta ESL has appointed Ravish Sharma as its new Deputy CEO & Whole-Time Director. With over two decades of experience in the metals industry, Ravish has a proven track record in smelting operations, engineering, and leadership. His expertise spans various critical areas including health, safety, environment (HSE), business excellence, stakeholder management, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Leadership Role at Vedanta ESL
In his new role, Ravish will oversee Vedanta ESL’s Integrated Steel Plant at Bokaro. Expressing his excitement, Ravish shared, “I am both delighted and honoured to lead this Integrated Steel Plant at Bokaro.” He further emphasized his connection with Vedanta, saying, “Having grown my career within the Vedanta family, I have a strong connection to this organization and its mission.”
Ravish is committed to driving operational performance and implementing sustainable growth strategies. “I’m excited to work alongside our dedicated team to enhance our operational performance, pursue sustainable growth strategies, and create lasting value for our stakeholders,” he added. Ravish Sharma’s Career and Expertise
Ravish Sharma brings extensive experience to his new role. Over the course of his career, he has held several key leadership positions within various Vedanta businesses. He has played a crucial role in driving business growth, achieving operational excellence, and enhancing safety standards.
Before his current role, Ravish served at Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (Vedanta), Hindustan Zinc Limited (Vedanta), and ESL Steel Limited (Vedanta). His leadership has been focused on ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.
Ravish holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya and has further developed his leadership capabilities through the Senior Leadership Development Program at ISB Hyderabad in 2024. He has been instrumental in setting new benchmarks in the smelting of silver, zinc, lead, and aluminium.
With Ravish at the helm, Vedanta ESL is poised for continued success, with a focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and safety.
