In his new position, Fernandes will oversee global delivery and manage core company functions such as administration, facilities, and internal IT services, the company said in a statement.
He is currently based in Princeton and will continue to report to Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Sudhir Singh.
Fernandes brings over 30 years of industry experience and has been serving as Chief Delivery Officer (CDO) at Coforge since 2024.
Before joining Coforge, he held leadership roles at major technology firms, including Accenture, Infosys, and Cognizant.
“Sunil has a combination of leadership skills, technical expertise and strategic thinking, which will be critical to transforming Coforge’s operations to support our growth ambitions,” Singh said.
As Chief Operating Officer, Fernandes will focus on strengthening execution capabilities and scaling operations. He will also lead the accelerated adoption of AI-native practices across engineering, delivery, and internal processes.
