TekniPlex has announced the appointment of Suj Mehta as the new CEO of its Healthcare Division. Mehta, a senior executive with extensive experience at TekniPlex, takes on the role at a critical time for the company as its healthcare division continues to evolve and expand.
Having joined TekniPlex in 2009 as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Mehta has held several key positions throughout his 16-year tenure, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. He has been instrumental in driving the company’s mergers and acquisitions strategy, overseeing impactful growth initiatives, and fostering innovation across the organization.
In November 2024, Mehta was appointed interim CEO of TekniPlex Healthcare, and his leadership during this period has been praised for its strategic vision and collaborative approach. His deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and medical device landscapes, along with his expertise in the company’s operations, made him the natural choice for the permanent CEO role.
Brenda Chamulak, CEO and President of TekniPlex, expressed confidence in Mehta’s leadership, stating, “Suj’s strategic vision, collaborative leadership, and commitment to addressing healthcare needs through materials science have been instrumental in driving TekniPlex forward. His ability to align strategy with execution has already had a meaningful impact, and I am confident that under his leadership TekniPlex Healthcare will continue to grow, innovate, and deliver critical solutions that support our customers and improve patient outcomes.”
Mehta’s new role comes as TekniPlex Healthcare continues to establish itself as a leading turnkey Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). The division’s expertise in providing high-quality barrier solutions for drugs and precision medical devices for therapeutic and interventional procedures has set it apart in the healthcare sector.
Earlier in his career, Mehta gained executive experience in corporate finance and business development, working across both the healthcare and consumer products sectors. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers University, a J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law, and an LL.M. in banking, corporate, and finance law from Fordham University School of Law.
With Mehta at the helm, TekniPlex Healthcare is well-positioned to continue its growth and further solidify its position as a leader in healthcare innovation.
