Kotak Mahindra Bank has announced the appointment of Srishti Sethi as its new Group Chief Risk Officer, effective June 12, 2025. She will succeed Paul Parambi, who steps down from the role on June 11. Sethi will also join the bank’s top leadership as a designated Senior Management Personnel and will hold the position for a term of five years.
The bank officially confirmed the decision in a recent regulatory filing, stating, “The Board of Directors of the Bank have, on June 9, 2025, appointed Ms. Srishti Sethi as the new GCRO and a SMP of the Bank, for a period of five years, with effect from June 12, 2025.”
Paul Parambi, who has held the GCRO title, will continue to serve as Group President – Risk until his retirement on June 30, 2025. He will no longer be a part of the senior management post his exit.
Srishti Sethi brings over 30 years of experience in areas such as enterprise and credit risk, banking, wealth management, corporate lending, collections, and operational strategy. Her impressive career includes leadership roles at Hero Fincorp, IDFC First Bank, and GE Capital, where she earned a reputation for her strategic insight and transformation-focused leadership.
An alumna of Lady Shri Ram College with a degree in Mathematical Statistics, Sethi also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IMS Ghaziabad. She is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and has earned a CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) certification, highlighting her in-depth understanding of risk management in the digital age.
Srishti appointment comes at a crucial time as the bank sharpens its focus on sustainable growth and robust risk practices in an evolving financial landscape. Known for her ability to blend strategic thinking with operational precision, Sethi is expected to steer Kotak Mahindra Bank’s risk function into a new era of excellence.
