Fresh certification details suggest that Redmi is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone in the K90 series. The upcoming Redmi K90 Ultra has been spotted on China’s 3C certification database, indicating key upgrades focused on performance and battery.
As per a report, a Redmi device with model number 2604FRK1EC—believed to be the Redmi K90 Ultra—has appeared on the certification platform. The listing confirms support for up to 100W fast charging, aligning with earlier leaks about the device.
The smartphone is also expected to feature a battery larger than 8,000mAh, marking a significant jump compared to existing models in the lineup. It may be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500, built on a 3nm architecture. The chipset is likely to enhance overall performance, especially for demanding tasks.
To manage heat during gaming and heavy usage, the Redmi K90 Ultra could include an active cooling fan. In terms of display, the device is tipped to sport a 1.5K LTPS OLED screen ranging between 6.81-inch and 6.89-inch, along with a 165Hz refresh rate.
Other expected features include a custom dual speaker unit, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
For comparison, the existing Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max come with 7,100mAh and 7,560mAh batteries, respectively. Both models support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. They are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipsets and feature OLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates. The devices also include Bose-tuned stereo speakers and 50-megapixel triple rear camera setups.
In China, the Redmi K90 starts at CNY 2,599 (around Rs. 32,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the Pro Max variant is priced from CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 49,000) for the same configuration.
