Reconomy, a leading specialist in the circular economy, has appointed Philip Vincent as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With immediate effect, Vincent steps into this role, bringing with him over two decades of finance leadership experience across multinational companies in both public and private sectors.
Vincent, a seasoned finance executive, has a stellar career marked by strategic roles at globally recognized companies. He previously served as CFO at ZIGUP PLC (formerly Redde Northgate PLC), where he successfully led financial strategy. Prior to this, Vincent was Finance Director for Asia Pacific at SABMiller plc and held various key roles at BBC Worldwide, eventually becoming its CFO. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Vincent honed his expertise at KPMG.
Reflecting on his new role, Vincent expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I am excited to be joining the team at Reconomy. I have been impressed by the Company’s exceptional pace of organic and inorganic growth, its global reach, best-in-class experts, superior technology capabilities, and the breadth of its customer base. I look forward to working with Guy and the rest of the leadership team as we focus on delivering long-term sustainable earnings growth and superior returns on invested capital.”
Vincent’s appointment marks a significant milestone for Reconomy as it continues its journey of expansion. He succeeds John Sullivan, who served as CFO for nearly nine years and will now continue supporting the company in a strategic advisory capacity. During Sullivan’s tenure, Reconomy experienced impressive growth, expanding nearly 14 times its size.
Guy Wakeley, Chief Executive of Reconomy, shared his excitement about the new appointment: “I am delighted to welcome Philip to Reconomy at this exciting time for our business. He brings a wealth of relevant experience and will prove invaluable as we remain focused on executing our strategic priorities to attain a leading position in the attractive international circularity market and scale our platform across North America.”
As Reconomy continues to thrive, Philip Vincent’s leadership will be instrumental in driving the company’s ambitious goals and helping the team navigate the dynamic landscape of the circular economy.
