Hyderabad has taken another step toward becoming a global creative technology hub as Netflix officially launched Eyeline Studios in the city. The new facility marks the company’s 5th global studio, joining its existing locations in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seoul, and London.
Located in Hitech City, the 32,000-square-foot studio is equipped with advanced VFX technology and cloud infrastructure. The facility is designed to support productions from across the world, strengthening Netflix’s global content creation capabilities.
Netflix aims to hire specialized VFX talent
The launch is expected to further position Hyderabad on the international stage for animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics (AVGC). The development comes at a time when India’s AVGC sector is projected to reach $1.7 billion by 2027.
Netflix also plans to recruit specialized VFX professionals at the new studio. The hiring initiative aligns with India’s broader goal of creating 2 million skilled jobs by 2030 in the creative and digital sectors.
At the launch event, Jeff Shapiro highlighted the country’s creative strength and praised India’s growing talent pool in visual storytelling and technology.
State leaders extend support for expansion
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior government officials and industry representatives. A. Revanth Reddy officially opened the studio and offered land for Netflix’s potential future India headquarters.
- Sridhar Babu also proposed a collaboration with Young India Skills University to help build a strong pipeline of skilled professionals for the industry.
The event was also attended by Sanjay Jaju and actor Rana Daggubati, who joined the ceremony celebrating the launch.
With the opening of Eyeline Studios in Hyderabad, Netflix is expanding its global production network while supporting the rapid growth of India’s creative technology industry.
