Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police Arrests 4 Suspect in Major Fraud Case

The Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police uncovered 82 cybercrime incidents in January and February, leading to the arrest of 161 fraudsters across eleven states. A focused operation in Telangana resulted in 32 cases being identified and 51 individuals apprehended. Among the 161 arrests, 82 were associated with trading fraud. The Hyderabad police also caught four repeat offenders from Surat, who were involved in 11 cases, including part-time job and trading scams. The individuals arrested were Ajay Anand Bhai Italia, Jalpesh, Vishal Arivadbhai Thummar, and Hiren Kumar Pravinbhai Baravaliya.

In the past two months, the Hyderabad Cyber Crime police detained 82 individuals in 37 trading fraud cases, 27 in digital arrest fraud cases, 26 for part-time job fraud, 8 for advertisement fraud, 3 for smishing fraud, 3 for job fraud, and 3 for fake customer care services, along with one each for business, social media crimes, vishing, and loan fraud. Additionally, there were 2 arrests for identity theft and 3 for cheating by impersonation.

Hyderabad Cyber Crime authorities confiscated 93 mobile phones, 75 SIM cards, 37 checkbooks, 22 passbooks, 23 debit cards, 2 company IDs, 8 stamps, 4 laptops, a desktop computer, a printer, a car, and 3 trading documents.

The Hyderabad Cyber Crime police advise the public to remain vigilant against investment and trading scams that promise high returns. Always verify financial transactions before sending money. Be cautious of urgent requests for money or personal information, such as Aadhaar numbers, bank account details, or OTPs. Confirm the source of any communication and check the information with relevant authorities or institutions.
