Ahead of its official debut, Huawei has confirmed key details about the upcoming Huawei Pura 90 Pro and Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max smartphones, including design, colour options, and RAM and storage configurations. The devices are set to launch in China on April 20 at 2:30pm local time (12pm IST), with pre-orders already underway.

The Pura 90 Pro will be available in 4 colour options — Coconut White, Mulberry Black, Orange Soda, and Pink Guava (translated from Chinese). It will be offered in 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB configurations.

The Pura 90 Pro Max, on the other hand, will come in Dawn Gold, Emerald Lake, Obsidian Black, Orange Ocean, and Sunset Purple (translated from Chinese). It will feature the same RAM and storage options as the Pro variant.

In terms of design, both models appear similar. They feature a triangular rear camera module with 3 circular lenses arranged in a pyramid-style layout. Two lenses are placed vertically, while a larger third lens sits centrally beside them. A small flash unit is positioned near the top edge of the module.

The Pura 90 Pro series is expected to be powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset, which is said to include a 9-core configuration with a mix of high-performance, mid-tier, and efficiency cores. The smartphones may run on HarmonyOS 6 with updated user interface elements.

Additionally, the devices are expected to support HyperSpace Memory technology, aimed at improving multitasking and background app performance.

The new lineup will succeed the Huawei Pura 80 series, which was launched in China in June 2025.
