Kia India’s journey of rapid expansion and market success has reached a significant turning point with the departure of Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing and Sales. According to industry sources, Brar has stepped down as the brand gears up for its next phase of growth in the Indian market.

Since taking charge in March 2021, Brar has been instrumental in shaping Kia’s presence in India. Under his leadership, the company not only crossed the remarkable milestone of one million cumulative vehicle sales but also maintained a consistent position among the top five car manufacturers in the country.

Brar’s strategic initiatives helped strengthen Kia’s digital retail platform and elevate customer satisfaction across the board. His tenure saw the rollout of several important models including the Seltos, Sonet, Carens, Carnival, and the premium EV6. Most recently, he oversaw the introduction of the Carens Clavis and Syros, signaling Kia’s bold ambitions in a highly competitive auto landscape.

As part of Kia’s 2.0 growth strategy, the brand expanded its footprint to more than 744 touch points across 329 cities, ensuring deeper market penetration and stronger consumer connect.

An alumnus of the prestigious Senior Executive Leadership Programme at Harvard Business School, Brar is widely respected for his visionary leadership and market acumen.

While Kia India has not yet made an official announcement regarding his successor, Brar’s departure marks the end of a significant chapter in the brand’s India journey.
