This appointment supports the company’s focus on scale, transformation and IPO readiness. In her new role, Samarpita Banerjee will lead the complete people and HR agenda at Greaves Electric Mobility.
She will align talent strategy, organizational design, and workplace culture with business priorities across manufacturing, technology, and sales. Based in Bengaluru, she will work closely with the leadership team to build future-ready capabilities, deepen leadership strength, and support the company’s rapid expansion in India’s electric mobility market.
Before joining Greaves Electric Mobility, Samarpita served as Group Human Resources Director and Board Member at Carrier. There, she led HR strategy for high-growth digital, engineering, and global business services teams across APAC and other international markets. Her role focused on enterprise-wide people transformation, leadership development, and large-scale governance.
Earlier, Samarpita held senior HR roles at Solera Holdings, LLC and DealerSocket. She led HR across APAC and Russia and managed multiple M&A integrations after DealerSocket was acquired by Solera. Her work supported the integration of commercial, services, and product portfolios across the region.
Samarpita has also worked in leadership roles at Diageo, Novozymes, and Wipro. These roles gave her cross-sector experience across IT, automotive, HVAC, SaaS, and consumer products. At Wipro, she led HR for the Telecom and Media vertical globally and partnered with business leaders across APAC, Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Africa on people strategy, organizational development, and talent transformation.
She holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
