Google might be working on redesigning the Photos app

Google may be revamping the Photos app. A Google Survey link asking a user to choose which Google Photos app’s design was superior was sent to him, according to a report by Android Authority. The survey included two images: a revamped version of the identical image on the right and the current Google Photos user interface on the left. There were noticeable modifications in the photos.

According to the images released by Android Authority, the redesigned UI components and some new visual adjustments give the new design a more modern appearance. It’s noteworthy that Google Photos’ site hasn’t changed much in a long time, suggesting that the US tech giant may be looking to make some changes.

Key changes in Google Photos

The image released by the consumer technology news portal had many notable changes, including a floating bottom bar, rounded edges for photographs, a rebranded Google photographs logo, and more.

Here are the details:

Round corners for gallery photographs: Soon, the photos that would be on the photo grid will have rounded edges, which would soften the arrangement.

Floating bottom bar: A squircle-shaped button, which may show up on the right side, is linked with the new “Search or ask” bar. Hopefully, this will serve as a shortcut to the “Collections” page.

Rebranding of the logo: A more subdued app icon is shown in the image in lieu of the term “Google Photos,” which is presently displayed on the upper left portion of the screen.

Last but not least, the text orientation in the “Memories” section has been altered, and the filter and choose icons have also been modified.

Although Google has not yet formally verified this, it seems that the company is actively developing a more contemporary and simplified user interface for the app based on the survey’s release.
