Reinforcing its leadership focus on people and culture, Ideal has appointed Emily Bignell as its new Chief People Officer. The move reflects the company’s commitment to building strong talent systems and a long-term people strategy as it expands its services across networking, cyber security, cloud, collaboration, and safe AI adoption.
In her new role, Bignell will lead Ideal’s people agenda and support workforce development as the organization scales its capabilities and service offerings.
Emily Bignell has grown her career at Ideal over nearly 8 years, progressing through several roles within the company. Most recently, she served for around 4 years as Head of People & Culture in Brighton, England. In this position, she drove people strategy initiatives, strengthened employee experience programs, and supported organizational development to ensure talent priorities matched business goals.
Before that, Bignell worked at Ideal for about 4 years as HR & Business Support Executive. In this role, she contributed to HR operations, internal stakeholder support, and people processes that helped establish strong employee lifecycle management and company culture.
Prior to joining Ideal, Bignell worked as an HR Associate at The RiverStone Group. There, she supported HR operations in the insurance and reinsurance run-off solutions sector.
Earlier in her career, she served as a Talent Executive at Qualifa. She handled recruitment, HR administration, onboarding, policy guidance, payroll coordination, and HR system implementation. These responsibilities helped her develop strong skills in end-to-end HR execution.
She also held early career roles at Qualifa as a Telemarketing Agent, at the University of Gloucestershire as a Peer Mentor, and at Swissport at London Gatwick as a Passenger Services Agent. These roles helped her build strong communication skills, customer service focus, and operational discipline, which continue to shape her leadership approach.
