Divya Jain Uppal Joins Shalimar Corp as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration

Shalimar Corp has welcomed Divya Jain Uppal as its new Vice President for Human Resources and Administration. Bringing with her more than 24 years of rich industry experience, Uppal’s appointment marks a significant step in the company’s strategic focus on people, culture, and organizational development.

Uppal began her career in 1999 with Hero MotoCorp, where she steadily rose through the ranks over two decades. Starting as Manager of Human Resource Development, she played an integral role in building HR capabilities across learning and development, employee engagement, onboarding, and talent acquisition.

In 2014, she was elevated to Regional HR Business Partner for the North Zone, where she led end-to-end HR operations and strategic partnerships for the region. Six years later, she took on broader responsibilities as Regional HR Business Partner for both the Central and East zones. In this capacity, she managed a diverse portfolio covering West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, and key central states like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Her role included overseeing the employee lifecycle for more than 575 employees, both permanent and contractual, while acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders on HR frameworks aligned with organizational goals.

After her impactful tenure at Hero MotoCorp, Uppal briefly served as General Manager of HR at MKU. She then took a short sabbatical to focus on family before returning to the corporate world with renewed energy and vision.

Known for her ability to blend operational efficiency with empathetic leadership, Divya Jain Uppal brings a nuanced understanding of workforce dynamics and a proven track record of fostering people-first cultures. Her appointment is expected to accelerate Shalimar Corp’s growth journey by anchoring HR as a driver of innovation, inclusion, and strategic transformation.
