Amit Patel has stepped into the role of Head of Consumer Marketing Excellence at Cipla India Rx, heralding a fresh era of insightful brand storytelling and patient-centered engagement across the company’s prescription portfolio. Bringing with him more than twenty years of rich experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, and healthcare communications, Amit’s appointment is a decisive move to deepen Cipla’s focus on consumer-first strategies within the prescription ecosystem.
Since joining Cipla in 2022, Amit served as Director and Senior Marketing Head for Consumer Marketing in the Respiratory segment. He led powerful campaigns like Berok Zindagi, Tuffies, and Meethi Zindagi, which transformed public awareness about chronic illnesses such as asthma and diabetes. These initiatives skillfully wove together digital channels, social media, and content-driven narratives to create meaningful connections with doctors, patients, and partners. Amit also directed Cipla’s landmark 90-year legacy campaign, the company’s first large-scale corporate branding effort.
Before Cipla, Amit headed Digital Marketing and E-commerce at Dabur International in Dubai, driving digital expansion across regions including MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa, the United States, and emerging markets. His earlier leadership roles at VLCC, Lemuda.com, and Carbon Media Works enriched his expertise in brand development, performance marketing, and global consumer strategies in health and beauty sectors.
With a strong foundation in strategic planning, consumer insights, and multichannel storytelling, Amit is well-equipped to steer Cipla’s vision of embedding patient-focused narratives throughout therapeutic areas. His leadership will further propel innovation, data-driven marketing, and AI-powered excellence, enhancing brand stewardship and patient engagement for Cipla India Rx.
