Alaska Airlines welcomes Lindsay-Rae McIntyre as Chief People Officer

The move comes as the airline expands its global footprint and advances integration with Hawaiian Airlines.

In her new role, McIntyre will oversee talent strategy, total rewards, employee experience, employee relations, leadership development, culture, and HR operations. Her mandate supports Alaska’s vision of delivering a travel experience rooted in safety, care, and performance.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Ben Minicucci said, “Lindsay-Rae is an accomplished people leader with deep experience strengthening culture and leading complex global organizations… we’re excited to welcome her as we continue to grow and integrate our operations.”

Sharing her perspective, McIntyre said, “I’m honored to join Alaska Airlines and partner with leaders and employees across the company to support an engaged workforce and a strong, values-driven culture.”

Prior to this, she served at Microsoft as Chief Diversity Officer and Corporate Vice President of Talent and Learning, leading global initiatives in talent development, inclusion, and workforce strategy.

She also spent over 20 years at IBM, where she led global HR teams across the US, Asia, and the Middle East, building deep expertise in managing large and diverse organizations.

With over 28 years of experience, McIntyre brings strong capabilities in culture transformation, leadership development, and enabling high-performing frontline and global teams.

She succeeds Andy Schneider, who transitioned to CEO of Horizon Air in 2025.

McIntyre will report directly to Minicucci, serve on the Executive Committee, and be based in Seattle as she leads the company’s global people agenda.
