HUMAIN, a Public Investment Fund company focused on full stack artificial intelligence solutions, has announced a landmark framework agreement with xAI at the United States Saudi Investment Forum in Washington DC. xAI is a United States based frontier artificial intelligence company known for its rapid progress in advanced systems and founded by Elon Musk. This agreement marks the beginning of a long term partnership to design, build and operate a new generation of low cost hyperscale GPU data centres in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also includes the large scale deployment of xAI’s Grok models across the country.
Under the agreement, HUMAIN and xAI will work together to build a network of world class GPU data centres. The plan includes a flagship facility with power capacity above five hundred megawatts. It is expected to become one of the most advanced artificial intelligence compute hubs in the world. This will add to xAI’s existing superclusters and will be the company’s first large scale compute deployment outside the United States.
This partnership supports HUMAIN’s goal to build high quality artificial intelligence infrastructure. The new centre will offer a strong platform for training, deploying and scaling frontier artificial intelligence models.
The collaboration will bring together HUMAIN’s strengths in low cost infrastructure design, construction and operations with xAI’s leadership in frontier models and compute optimisation. Together they aim to create a strong base for next generation artificial intelligence development at global scale.
The partnership also advances HUMAIN’s ambition to offer high performance and globally competitive artificial intelligence infrastructure at the lowest possible cost. It supports the company’s plan to build a fully integrated value chain covering infrastructure, compute, data, models and applied solutions.
Along with infrastructure development, HUMAIN and xAI will work on deploying xAI’s Grok models throughout the country. Grok will be integrated into HUMAIN’s agent platform called HUMAIN ONE. This will introduce real time intelligence, autonomous workflows and next generation copilots for government, enterprises and society. The agreement creates a unified national artificial intelligence layer that will support advanced decision making for public and private organisations.
Elon Musk, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of xAI, said:
“The future of intelligence will be engineered through massive and efficient compute combined with the most advanced AI models. HUMAIN’s capabilities enable us to build that future faster in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration represents the first of its kind partnership to deploy xAI’s Grok across an entire country.”
Tareq Amin, Chief Executive Officer of HUMAIN, said:
“Together with xAI, we are creating scale that few others can match and speed that redefines what is possible, and compute that will shape the world’s most advanced technologies.”
The partnership marks an important step in developing responsible and scalable artificial intelligence and supporting innovation with global impact.
