Government launches free Yuva AI for All course to boost basic AI skills across India

The Government of India has introduced Yuva AI for All, a free short term course under the IndiaAI Mission aimed at helping people, especially young learners, understand the fundamentals of artificial intelligence. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has designed the course to be simple, engaging and relatable by using real life Indian examples. The self paced program takes about four and a half hours to complete.

The initiative focuses on showing how AI is shaping the world and helping students and professionals feel confident using it. The goal is to equip one crore citizens with basic AI skills, reduce the digital divide, support ethical use of AI and prepare India’s workforce for future opportunities. Schools, universities and organisations can partner with IndiaAI to make the course accessible nationwide.

The course is divided into six modules that help learners understand what AI is, how it works, how it is transforming education creativity and workplaces, and how to use AI tools safely and responsibly. It also highlights real world applications across India and offers a look at future trends and new possibilities in the field.

Students can take the course through platforms such as FutureSkills Prime, iGOT Karmayogi and other major ed tech portals. Participants who complete the program will receive a certificate from the Government of India.

To enrol learners must visit the course link select the enrol option and sign in using a Gmail or LinkedIn account. After entering basic personal education and occupation details they can begin the self paced learning modules.
