Rakesh steps into the role with extensive experience in technology leadership across global organisations. His career includes important positions at InvoiceCloud, Sears Holdings India, Amazon, AGNITY Healthcare, Microsoft, Monsoon Multimedia, Bay Packets and River Run Software Group. This experience has given him strong expertise in digital transformation, cloud modernisation and product strategy.
At InvoiceCloud, Rakesh led the India Global Capability Centre and the Centre of Excellence. During his time at Sears Holdings India, he managed large engineering and operations teams across Pune and Hyderabad. His earlier work at Amazon, where he led engineering for Amazon Marketplace Tech and Amazon Kindle, helped strengthen his ability to build high performing technology ecosystems.
Throughout his professional journey, Rakesh has led major programmes in cloud migration, microservices architecture, software as a service engineering, Agile adoption and large scale product development. He has also played a key role in setting up development centres and bringing essential capabilities in house from partners such as TCS and Infosys. He has managed complex technology portfolios from start to finish.
This combination of strategic insight and operational leadership places him in a strong position to guide VML Enterprise Solutions Hub. Rakesh’s focus will be on accelerating next generation innovation and supporting the organisation’s goal of delivering scalable and client centric technology solutions.
