Jonathan Puckett joins Orion as Chief Financial Officer

Orion has appointed Jonathan “Jon” Puckett as its new chief financial officer, effective 1 December 2025. He will take over from Jeff Glajch, who announced his retirement earlier this year. Glajch will continue with the company until 31 December 2025 to support a smooth transition and will provide consulting services during the first quarter of 2026.

Puckett joins Orion with more than thirty years of financial leadership experience, mainly in the chemical industry. He previously spent fourteen years at Celanese Corporation, where he most recently served as Vice President and chief financial officer for the Acetyl Chain segment. During his time at Celanese, he held several senior finance positions and played a key role in the company’s strategic and operational progress.

Orion CEO Corning Painter said he is confident that Puckett’s experience will support the company’s future plans. He said, “Jon’s broad functional skillset, deep financial expertise and demonstrated success in driving businesses towards financial and strategic goals make him an excellent fit for our company. This leadership change comes at a pivotal moment as Orion navigates its next phase of growth and profitability.”

Puckett’s appointment marks an important step for Orion as it prepares for continued expansion and long term financial strength.
