SanDisk has introduced a new ultra-compact USB-C flash drive named the SanDisk Extreme Fit, which the company describes as a “plug-and-stay” storage device. Designed to be small enough to remain plugged into a laptop at all times, it is claimed to be the world’s smallest 1TB USB-C flash drive. The device is also available in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB variants.
The SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive is already available in the United States through SanDisk’s official online store. However, it has not yet been listed on the company’s Indian website.
According to product images shared by SanDisk, the Extreme Fit features an L-shaped design that allows it to plug into a USB-C port while sitting slightly upright instead of extending outward horizontally. This structure ensures it stays nearly flush with a laptop, making it a convenient option for users who prefer to keep additional storage permanently connected to their device.
The flash drive is available in five storage capacities — 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB — and operates on the USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface. The 128GB and higher models deliver transfer speeds of up to 400MB per second, while the 64GB variant offers speeds of up to 300MB per second.
The SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive is compatible with the SanDisk Memory Zone app for Windows and macOS. The app helps users manage files, back up photos, free up device storage, and restore data when required. It also allows automatic backups for added convenience.
