Allianz has named Pallavi Shome as global head of group finance excellence center, reinforcing its focus on finance transformation and operational excellence across its international network. In this leadership role she will guide global finance optimisation, digital integration and strategic governance to support the company’s long term growth.
Pallavi joins Allianz after more than six years at a major global financial institution, where she most recently served as chief operating officer for India engineering. She worked closely with the global technology office of the chief information officer and played a key role in building operating models, governance structures and technology workforce strategies. She also led global vendor partnerships and expense management initiatives for the organisation’s global operations and technology division.
Before that, Pallavi held the position of chief operating officer for central business services at a major telecommunications group. She strengthened shared services delivery, improved enterprise operations and supported complex transformation programs that enhanced organisational resilience.
Her eleven year tenure at a leading investment firm included senior roles in service delivery, relationship management and strategy. As senior director and business unit head she led multiple centers of excellence in India, supporting global service delivery and innovation across important business segments.
Pallavi began her professional journey at an international bank, where she led customer experience functions including the credit cards call center and the customer care unit. She also represented the bank as an authorised signatory to the national banking ombudsman. Her early experience in medical equipment sales at a technology company provided her with foundational skills in client engagement and business development.
She is an alumna of a well known management institute in New Delhi and holds a postgraduate diploma in international marketing, supporting her global perspective and strategic leadership approach.
