Delhivery handles goods worth ₹19,187 crore in festive season phase two

Delhivery Ltd, India’s largest integrated logistics company, announced that it moved goods worth over ₹19,187 crore during the second phase of the 2025 festive season.

Delhivery handled more than 107 million e-commerce and freight shipments in October, recording a single-day peak of 7.2 million shipments. Nearly 18,100 clients achieved record daily volumes, the company said.

According to industry sources, this represents one of the highest shipment volumes recorded in the logistics sector during this period.

Delhivery’s network managed deliveries covering distances of up to 4,085 kilometres, from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala to Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh. Delhivery delivered over 29.57 million packages within 48 hours and 13.59 million within 24 hours. In Bengaluru, one delivery was completed in just two minutes.

“Last month I thought we’d hit a record it would take us at least a few months to get to again. In a first for us, Phase 2 festive volumes turned out to be higher than Phase 1 this year. Reaching 100 million orders once, last month, was an incredible high,” said Sahil Barua, co-founder and chief executive officer of Delhivery, in a post on LinkedIn. “To have done it a second time through the festivities, through the holidays and through the rains has turned out to be the most pleasant of challenges. October was our second consecutive month with over 100 million transportation orders.”

Delhivery competes with logistics firms such as Ecom Express, XpressBees, Shiprocket, DTDC, Blue Dart and Flipkart-backed Shadowfax.

Shadowfax processed 436.36 million orders in FY25, recording a compound annual growth rate of 29.77 per cent from FY23. During the six months ending 30 September 2025, it handled 294.45 million orders, representing a growth rate of 50.11 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Total festive sales for e-commerce firms are projected to grow by 27 per cent year on year to exceed ₹1.2 trillion, according to a report by Datum Intelligence. The first week of the festive season generated ₹60,700 crore in gross merchandise value, accounting for more than half the season’s expected total.

Amazon India recorded 2.76 billion customer visits during its Great Indian Festival sale, with over 70 per cent coming from Tier-II and Tier-III cities. Flipkart saw a 21 per cent increase in visits during its Big Billion Days sale compared to 2024, along with a 26 per cent rise in premium product purchases. Meesho became India’s largest e-commerce platform by annual transacting users and order volume in FY25, processing 1.8 billion orders worth nearly ₹30,000 crore.
