Confluent, Inc., a leading data streaming company, has announced the launch of Confluent Private Cloud, designed to make deploying, managing, and governing real-time streaming data on private infrastructure simpler and more secure. Now generally available, the solution brings Confluent’s advanced cloud-native capabilities to heavily regulated industries, helping organisations scale operations, maintain compliance, and make faster, data-driven decisions.
Shaun Clowes, Chief Product Officer at Confluent, said, “Real-time data is the key to unlocking business growth. It’s what helps organisations modernise and stay ahead. The challenge is that strict regulations can make it harder to scale data streaming across the business. With Confluent Private Cloud, you get the best of both worlds—the agility and simplicity of the cloud with the security and control of your own private infrastructure.”
Enterprises today face growing pressure to harness real-time data for innovation and growth. However, many find themselves choosing between speed and compliance, often compromising one for the other. Confluent Private Cloud aims to eliminate this trade-off by offering cloud-like efficiency and scalability while maintaining the security and regulatory controls required for on-premises environments.
Stewart Bond, Vice President of Data Intelligence and Integration Software at IDC, noted, “The need for real-time data has continued to grow, but privacy and compliance requirements remain a major challenge to scaling it. Businesses must look for solutions that help them strike a balance between delivering a fast self-service experience like a cloud provider and maintaining centralised control of their private infrastructure.”
Confluent Private Cloud is built to provide automation, high performance, and seamless management for large enterprises, service providers, and regulated industries. It enables centralised data governance through the Confluent Private Cloud Gateway, ensuring secure and reliable data movement even during infrastructure updates or policy changes.
The platform also introduces Unified Stream Manager (USM), which simplifies compliance, data tracking, and schema management across hybrid environments. In addition, Intelligent Replication enhances performance by delivering up to ten times faster data streaming within private systems, optimising replication processes automatically.
With this launch, Confluent now offers enterprises a complete data streaming solution for any infrastructure on cloud, on-prem, or hybrid empowering teams to move faster, innovate securely, and operate with confidence.
