iQOO 15 set to launch in India next month with new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset

The company has confirmed that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, will be introduced in India in November. It will be the first device from the brand to feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The announcement was made through social media, along with the confirmation that the phone will run on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya shared that the launch event will take place on November 26. This differs slightly from earlier expectations which suggested a November 27 launch. A dedicated product page for the phone is already live on Amazon, confirming the chipset details and the software version.

Other key specifications for the India variant have not yet been officially revealed, including pricing, storage options and available color finishes. However, the smartphone has already been released in China, giving a clear indication of what features may arrive in India.

Expected specifications based on the Chinese model

The Chinese version of iQOO 15 features a 6.85 inch 2K display with a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels. It uses a Samsung M14 AMOLED panel with up to 144 Hz refresh rate and 130 Hz screen sampling rate. The device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor along with Adreno 840 graphics and a Q3 gaming chip to enhance performance.

The phone is available with 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. In the camera department, the smartphone comes with a triple rear setup that includes a 50 megapixel main sensor, a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens and a 50 megapixel ultra wide angle camera. On the front, it features a 32 megapixel camera for selfies.

Details for the India unit including final pricing will be announced at the official launch.
