RBL Bank welcomes Aliasgar Karachiwala as Head-Digital, Channels and Experience

Wishing Mr. Aliasgar Karachiwala greater responsibilities and exciting challenges in this impressive new chapter!

With over 20 years of expertise in digital banking, automation, and process innovation, Aliasgar will lead initiatives to enhance customer engagement, streamline operations, and accelerate digital adoption across all platforms.

Aliasgar has been with RBL Bank for more than six years, most recently serving as EVP and Head-Applications and Automation. In this role, he led large-scale transformation projects, including the establishment of Centers of Excellence for AI, RPA, Low-Code/No-Code platforms, and Testing Automation. He successfully digitized over 270 processes, implemented CRM and KYC platforms, redesigned the website and customer journeys, and launched DIY onboarding and service journeys. His initiatives delivered annual cost savings exceeding INR 600 million, improved NPS and CSAT scores, and boosted efficiency across digital channels.

Before joining RBL Bank, Aliasgar was SVP II and Head-Business and Technology Solutions Group at AU Small Finance Bank. He developed and managed the bank’s digital properties, including mobile and internet banking, WhatsApp and chatbot solutions, and gamified sales programs. He also led the flagship AU Abhi Digital Program, a key element of the bank’s customer experience strategy.

Earlier, Aliasgar spent over five years at Axis Bank as Vice President and Head-Projects and Business Solutions Group, driving CRM implementations, sales mobility solutions, kiosk-based banking, and digital journeys integrated with partner ecosystems. At Kotak Mahindra Bank, as Vice President and Head-Business Solutions Group (Assets and Cards), he led projects including Loan Origination and Servicing Systems, Credit Card Platforms, and Core Banking Integrations.

Aliasgar’s career also includes roles at Oracle Financial Services Software, ABN AMRO Central Enterprise Services, and e-Serve International, a Citibank subsidiary, where he developed expertise in digital systems, cash management, and financial process automation. He holds an MBA in Finance from NMIMS, Mumbai.

His contributions have earned multiple accolades, including the CEO Supreme Awards (2021-2025), The Asset Triple A Digital Awards, Next100 Future CIOs of India, and ASIAMONEY Best Bank for Digital Solutions, recognising his excellence in digital innovation and business transformation.
