Microsoft India MD encourages students to embrace technology and leadership

AI and other technologies are revolutionising the global economy and driving development, observed Rajiv Kumar, Managing Director and President of Microsoft India. He was speaking at an event at an engineering institute in Guntur on the topic “Emerging trends in technology and industry readiness for students”.

He urged students to stay open to new technology and adopt skills that prepare them for the changing world. He also emphasised the importance of strong leadership qualities. Rajiv Kumar shared examples of three traits that helped Bill Gates lead Microsoft to global success. These include strong decision making, long term thinking and taking risks.

He added that Satya Nadella continues to strengthen Microsoft with his focus on effective communication, continuous learning and creating clarity within teams. Rajiv Kumar encouraged students to learn continuously and build the confidence to handle new challenges.

The session was attended by the institute’s senior leadership along with many engineering students who engaged eagerly with the discussion on future technology roles.
