Dharma Productions Leases 5,500 Sq Ft Office in Andheri at Rs 15 Lakh Monthly Rent

Karan Johar-led Dharma Productions has leased a 5,500 square foot office space at Lotus Signature in Andheri West, starting at a monthly rent of Rs 15 lakh, according to property registration records. The lease spans four years, with an annual five percent escalation, taking the rent in the final year to Rs 17.36 lakh.

The office, located on the eighth floor, has been leased from a Mumbai-based landlord. Over the lease period, Dharma is expected to pay around Rs 7.75 crore in rent. The deal also includes a security deposit of Rs 1 crore and stamp duty of Rs 2.04 lakh.

Dharma Productions, founded by Karan Johar’s father Yash Johar, is one of Mumbai’s leading film production houses. Last year, Serum Institute of India promoter Adar Poonawalla acquired a 50 percent stake in the company for Rs 1,000 crore.

Lotus Signature is a commercial development by listed realty firm Sri Lotus Developers, led by developer and film producer Anand Pandit. The development has attracted several high-profile celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan, and prominent film producers, who have purchased office units in the building.

This new lease reinforces Dharma Productions’ presence in Mumbai’s key business hubs and reflects continued interest in premium office spaces by leading entertainment industry players.
