Costco Wholesale has announced the appointment of Rajeev Mall as the Chief Executive Officer of its India Global Capability Centre (GCC). In his new role, he will lead the company’s digital strategy, scale operations, and strengthen innovation and transformation initiatives. His appointment comes at a crucial time as Costco accelerates its global growth and deepens investments in digital capability hubs.
Before joining Costco, Rajeev Mall was the Vice President, Global Business Services at Mondelēz International, where he led digital transformation across multiple service lines. His focus on process optimisation and driving digital fluency across the enterprise played a key role in enhancing operational efficiency.
At Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan, he held dual roles as Group CIO and President of both Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. and Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Business Services Inc. During his tenure, he drove large-scale digital transformation, established shared services, and centralised business capabilities into centres of excellence.
Previously, at The Coca-Cola Company, Rajeev served as Vice President, IT, leading the Global Centre of Excellence for the Bottling Investment Group. He was responsible for designing, developing, and supporting technology solutions across bottling operations in more than 20 countries across five continents.
Rajeev also held earlier roles as Enterprise Solution Architect at SAP, Director of IT Services at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, and held leadership positions at Coca-Cola India, DHL Worldwide Express, and ESAB India.
Under Rajeev Mall’s leadership, Costco’s India GCC is expected to evolve from a support function into a strategic hub for innovation, transformation, and value creation. His extensive experience in leading global digital initiatives and building centres of excellence positions him to align the India GCC closely with Costco’s worldwide ambitions.
This appointment reflects Costco’s continued focus on expanding its capabilities and innovation-driven operations globally, with India set to play a central role in shaping the company’s future digital and operational strategy.
