Shapoorji Pallonji Energy has announced the appointment of Dr. Kavindra Pant as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, Dr. Pant will lead the company’s strategic HR agenda, focusing on leadership development, workforce capability, and organizational excellence as Shapoorji Pallonji Energy expands its presence in the global energy and offshore engineering sectors.
Dr. Pant’s journey with the Shapoorji Pallonji Group spans over a decade. Since 2017, he has served as Head of Human Resources at SP Energy Pvt. Ltd., where he has been instrumental in building a high-performance HR culture, managing key stakeholders, and supporting organizational transformation and growth initiatives. His strategic guidance has been critical in aligning people priorities with the company’s engineering and operational goals.
Prior to rejoining Shapoorji Pallonji Group, Dr. Pant was Deputy General Manager – Human Resources at Mahanagar Gas Limited, where he led HR strategies for large-scale operational teams, enhancing performance management and employee engagement systems. He also served as DGM – Human Resources at Shapoorji Pallonji Infrastructure, developing HR systems and talent processes to support infrastructure expansion projects across India and abroad.
Dr. Pant’s earlier roles include Regional Manager and Manager – Employee Relations at TNT India Pvt. Ltd., as well as HR leadership at HDFC ERGO General Insurance, where he managed talent and engagement initiatives for the insurance business. He began his career with First Flight Couriers Ltd, gaining foundational experience in people management, operations, and stakeholder collaboration. His two decades of cross-industry experience in courier, logistics, insurance, infrastructure, and energy equip him with a broad and strategic perspective on human capital leadership.
An accomplished academic, Dr. Pant holds a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Human Resource Management from Symbiosis International University and a Master’s in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management (MIRPM) from Nagpur University.
Dr. Pant’s appointment underscores Shapoorji Pallonji Energy’s commitment to strengthening leadership, enhancing workforce capabilities, and driving organizational excellence through strategic HR initiatives.
