Defence Tech Startup Unmannd Secures 2 Million Dollars in Pre Seed Funding

Bengaluru based defence technology startup Unmannd has raised 2 million dollars in a pre seed round led by Speciale Invest and Accel. This marks one of the largest early stage fundings in India’s deeptech defence sector this year. The funds will be used to commercialise its heavy duty drone platform Titan, speed up the development of its anti drone interceptor system Fury, expand its engineering team, and explore global defence export opportunities.

Founded in February 2025 by Yeshwanth Reddy and Hemaditya Prasad, Unmannd focuses on building autonomous aerial systems for defence logistics and security. Its flagship product Titan, a heavy lift drone, has already been approved by the Indian defence forces, positioning Unmannd for future procurement prospects. Fury, its advanced interceptor system, can detect hostile UAVs from as far as 30 kilometres and deploy interceptors at speeds reaching 300 kilometres per hour.

The successful funding round reflects the rising confidence of investors in India’s defence technology sector, which is drawing both venture capital and strategic interest. With a focus on logistics automation and aerial security, Unmannd is establishing itself as a key contributor to modern defence infrastructure while also planning to tap into international markets.
