Boston Consulting Group has expanded its footprint in India with the launch of a new office in Hyderabad, its fifth in the country after Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai. The move comes as the firm continues its strong growth trajectory in India, where it has achieved a 20 per cent compound annual growth rate over the past decade.
The Hyderabad office is expected to play a central role in advancing BCG’s growth ambitions, with a focus on major industries such as industrials, pharmaceuticals, technology, infrastructure and real estate. Rahul Jain, Head of BCG India, said the expansion reflects the firm’s long-term commitment to the country, supported by its strong talent pool and the rapid transformation underway across sectors.
Hyderabad’s dynamic business environment makes it a strategic choice for BCG’s latest hub. Known as the pharma capital of India, the city contributes almost one-third of the country’s pharmaceutical production and one-fifth of exports in the sector. With manufacturing contributing 19.5 per cent of Telangana’s gross state domestic product, higher than the national average, and its growing role as a centre for global capability centres, research and development, and startups, Hyderabad provides a strong base for innovation and expansion.
Vikash Agarwalla, Managing Director and Partner at BCG India, noted that the new office will bring the firm closer to regional clients. He said this will enable BCG to support their most ambitious transformation journeys while strengthening its role in shaping India’s fast-growing industries.
