Perplexity’s AI-powered browser, Comet, is now accessible to Pro plan subscribers in India, enabling users to book meetings, send emails, and make online purchases with ease.
Android users can pre-order the app via the Play Store, while the desktop version is already live for macOS and Windows, CEO Aravind Srinivas announced in a LinkedIn post.
Access to Comet is also extended to Perplexity Max and Pro subscribers, as well as invite-only users who signed up earlier on the waitlist. The AI browser was initially launched in July exclusively for Perplexity Max subscribers.
In a recent collaboration, Perplexity AI partnered with a telecom provider to offer a one-year complimentary subscription to Perplexity Pro. Following this, in August, the startup introduced Comet Pro, a new tier priced at $5 per month, which includes revenue-sharing opportunities for participating publishers.
Comet’s expansion in India reflects Perplexity AI’s growing focus on making its AI tools widely accessible and integrating practical productivity features for both desktop and mobile users.
