Earlier, Tushar was Group CFO at Intas Pharmaceuticals, a US$ 2.5 billion organisation with a presence in more than 80 countries. In this role, he was central to capital structuring, investor relations, and strategic finance, securing sustainable growth backed by Sovereign Funds and Private Equity partners. His earlier role as Senior Vice President Corporate Finance at Zydus Cadila saw him lead fundraising initiatives of over US$ 1 billion, build innovative financing structures for R&D, and consolidate the group’s formulation business for large scale growth.
Tushar also held leadership positions as Chief Finance Officer at SCHOTT Kaisha Private Limited, where he managed project funding and cost systems, and as General Manager M&A at the Piramal Group, where he played a significant role in acquisitions such as Cifixin and Anfortan brands from Khadelwal Laboratories, and product rights from PlasmaSelect AG in Germany and Minrad’s business in the US.
Tushar began his career with ABB India, rising from trainee to Head of Finance and Business Area Controller over nine years, and later became Executive Director and CFO at Elster Metering Private Limited, where he oversaw post acquisition integration and set up new financial structures. His academic background includes qualifications as a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant, with further leadership training at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
