Reliance Unveils AI-Powered Smart Glasses JioFrames

Reliance has announced the launch of its latest innovation, JioFrames, during its 48th Annual General Meeting held on August 29, 2025. The new product is an AI-powered wearable platform and ecosystem, positioned as a competitor to existing smart glasses such as RayBan Meta.

At launch, JioFrames will support multiple Indian languages through Jio’s multilingual AI voice assistant, making it more accessible to a wider audience.

“With JioFrames, users can take HD photos, record videos or go live and it will be instantly stored in Jio AI Cloud, Jio’s cloud storage app,” the company said in a statement.

The glasses are designed to offer a wide range of features beyond multimedia. JioFrames can summarise or explain text and books, provide guidance in cooking, and identify landmarks for users. They also support calling, attending virtual meetings, listening to music, and accessing podcasts. The device comes with built-in open-ear speakers for seamless audio experiences.

“JioFrames brings the power of AI into your everyday life in the most natural way possible. Intelligence will not just be in your pocket; it will be right in front of your eyes,” Jio added.

The launch highlights Reliance’s push to integrate artificial intelligence into consumer technology, aiming to make daily tasks easier and more interactive through advanced wearables.
