HCLTech, in partnership with Pearson India and supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Startup Hub, has announced the launch of Arise for You, a countrywide initiative aimed at encouraging and supporting student entrepreneurs. Arise, which stands for Aspire, Rise, Inspire, Skill, Excel, is designed to identify and nurture young entrepreneurial talent across India.
The programme is expected to engage more than 1.5 lakh students from over 3,000 campuses across the country. It will feature Shark Tank style showcases, a Problem Solver Directory that connects participants with investors and incubators, and mentorship opportunities from leading industry experts. Students will also be able to access Pearson’s Entrepreneurship and Small Business Certification along with career enhancing micro credentials.
Vinay Swamy, Country Head at Pearson India, said, “With our ESB certification and comprehensive learning resources, we are ensuring that every student acquires not just entrepreneurial skills, but the confidence to transform their ideas into impact.”
The national finale will be held on 12 and 13 March 2026, where the most promising student entrepreneurs will be celebrated. Winners will receive incubation opportunities, exposure through national media, and grants of up to ₹10 lakhs.
Institutions will also benefit from branding opportunities, national recognition, improved NIRF rankings, and stronger industry partnerships. Dr. Panneerselvam Madanagopal, CEO of the MeitY Startup Hub, said, “One of our core pillars is driving innovation from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, and this initiative enables us to nurture solutions that truly solve Bharat.”
