McDonald’s Corporation has announced the appointment of Saumya Mittal as Chief People Officer for Asia, effective August. Mittal brings with her close to twenty years of human resources leadership experience, having most recently served as APAC Commercial HR Lead at Google.
Her career has spanned leading multinational companies, including more than a decade at PepsiCo, where she played a key role in shaping talent strategies across diverse markets. Recognised as one of India’s leading HR professionals, Mittal was a recipient of the People Matters “Are You in the List” award in 2015. She is also an alumna of the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.
In a LinkedIn post sharing her new role, Mittal wrote: “Started a new chapter this week as Chief People Officer for Asia at McDonald’s Corporation. The opportunity to partner with our exceptional leaders and talent is immense! Asia is a vibrant and growing market, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with the team to champion our people agenda.”
Her appointment highlights McDonald’s continued commitment to strengthening its people-first culture and building a strong leadership foundation across its rapidly expanding markets in Asia.
