Vodafone Idea Expands 5G Services to Pune with Introductory Offers

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has rolled out its 5G connectivity in Pune as part of its ongoing expansion across 17 circles in India. With this move, Vi continues its efforts to widen its 5G footprint, offering customers in Pune access to faster and more advanced network services. The company confirmed that the introductory offer available during earlier rollouts will also apply to Pune, giving prepaid subscribers unlimited 5G data on select recharge plans.

Vi Expands 5G in Maharashtra

Following the latest rollout, Vi now offers 5G connectivity in five cities in Maharashtra, including Mumbai. Pune joins Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, where services were launched earlier, as part of the telecom operator’s broader plan to provide 5G coverage across 23 cities in the country. Out of these, 21 cities have already been covered, with announcements for the remaining two cities expected soon.

With its presence in Pune, Vi aims to accelerate the availability of advanced network services across India. Customers in the city can now enjoy unlimited 5G data on recharge plans starting from Rs. 299, under the company’s introductory scheme.

Partnership and Network Enhancements

To strengthen its 5G rollout, Vi has partnered with Ericsson to deploy infrastructure and implement AI-enabled Self Organising Networks (SON). These networks are designed to optimise performance and improve service quality in multiple cities across Maharashtra, including Pune. In addition to launching 5G services, Vi has also upgraded its 4G network in the Maharashtra and Goa circle to deliver enhanced coverage and faster internet speeds.

New Plans for Subscribers

The announcement comes shortly after Vi introduced its Non Stop Hero prepaid plans in the Mumbai and Maharashtra & Goa circles. These plans provide customers with three recharge options ranging from Rs. 398 to Rs. 1,180. In the Mumbai circle, the entry-level Non Stop Hero plan is priced at Rs. 450. It offers a 28 day validity period along with unlimited voice calling, unlimited data, and 100 SMS messages per day.

With these rollouts and upgrades, Vi is focused on strengthening its position in the competitive telecom market while providing customers with affordable and high quality network services.
