Hemanth Kundavaram Appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Nothing India

Wishing Mr. Hemanth Kundavaram greater responsibilities and exciting challenges in this impressive new chapter!

London-based technology company Nothing has appointed Hemanth Kundavaram as the new Chief Financial Officer for its India division. The move is aimed at reinforcing the company’s financial strategy in one of its most important markets.

Kundavaram brings over twenty years of experience in finance and accounting, with expertise in fundraising, investor relations, Initial Public Offerings, and capital market operations. He is a Chartered Accountant from the 2005 batch and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, completed in 2002.

Before joining Nothing, Kundavaram held key roles at multinational corporations including Ford India, IBM, Thomson Reuters, and Rockwell Collins. In 2015, he transitioned to working with promoter-led startups, and most recently served as CFO at PMI Electromobility.

This marks the second major senior leadership hire for Nothing India, following the earlier appointment of Akis Evangelidis as the company’s India President. These appointments highlight the brand’s focus on building a strong leadership team to drive its operations in the country.

The announcement comes as Nothing reports rapid growth in India. According to the Counterpoint Q2 2025 Smartphone Shipment Tracker, the company recorded a 146 per cent year-on-year growth in the second quarter of 2025. The report also identified Nothing as the fastest-growing smartphone brand in India for the sixth consecutive quarter, underscoring the importance of the Indian market for the company’s global expansion plans.

Commenting on his appointment, Hemanth Kundavaram said, “Nothing’s journey so far has been truly remarkable. I’m excited to be part of this next chapter as the company accelerates its growth and deepens its presence in India. I look forward to driving a strong financial foundation that complements fast-paced growth and strengthens the brand’s India vision.”

Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder and India President of Nothing, added, “India is at the core of Nothing’s global vision, and we’re entering an exciting new phase of growth here. Kundavaram’s proven expertise in financial operations and capital strategy will be instrumental as we scale rapidly and deepen our presence in India. With him on board, we’re strengthening our foundation to accelerate growth and advance our ambition of building from India to the world.”
